Description

Ten single-serve drip bags of Guatemalan coffee. A cup, boiling water, and that is the whole method.

The beans come from Santa Isabel, a 300-hectare farm in Cobán, in the rainforest country of Alta Verapaz. Cool climate, plenty of rain, and a grower, Luis "Wicho" Valdés, who Market Lane has been buying from since 2015. Over that time he has built his own biofertiliser operation, stopped using pesticides entirely, and more than halved his reliance on fungicides.

Caturra, washed, roasted in Brunswick East and sealed into filter sachets, so a good cup travels: a hotel room, a desk, the first morning of a week that needs starting properly. A quiet, useful thing to send alongside flowers.

  • 10 single-serve drip bags
  • Santa Isabel, Cobán, Alta Verapaz, Guatemala
  • Caturra varietal, washed process
  • Roasted in Melbourne by Market Lane Coffee
  • No equipment needed, just a cup and boiling water
