Description
A light filter roast from Sítio Canaã, a two hectare farm in Piatã, high in the Chapada Diamantina in Bahia. The cherry is left on the bean through drying, which is why the sweetness arrives soft rather than sharp: macadamia, ripe pear, and cocoa on the finish.
Kleumon Silva Moreira planted the farm in 2016 with his savings and a bank loan, and named it for the promised land. He runs a nursery alongside it and gives seedlings to his neighbours. Market Lane have bought his coffee every year since he started, and roast it in Melbourne.
