Fig & Bloom

Guide

Practical guidance from Fig & Bloom on remembering, choosing and giving.

Remembering a person means more than remembering their birthday. We built Reminders to keep the details that make a gift feel like it came from you.

You know Mum loves anemones. You know your sister has moved, although her new address is somewhere in a message thread. You know Dad’s birthday is coming, and that someone needs to ask your siblings what you are all doing for it. None of this is difficult on its own. Keeping it all together is another matter.

The thought is there. The details are scattered. By the time you sit down to order, you can find yourself doing the same work again: looking up the date, checking the address, trying to remember which flowers they liked.

That is the problem we wanted Reminders to solve.

The part of giving that happens before checkout

At Fig & Bloom, we believe what you send says something about you. Our job is to help you show up at the right time, in the right way, for the people you love. Making the flowers is part of that. Helping you remember what matters to the person receiving them belongs there too.

One customer invited to try Reminders described browsing ahead of an occasion, bookmarking pages and then forgetting them. Another told us that knowing someone’s preferences would make it feel as though “my work is already done”. We recognise that gap between having a good idea and being able to find it when you need it.

So we built a place to keep the person, the occasion and the useful details together. You can start with a birthday. You can also start with a flower someone loves, without waiting for a birthday at all.

A thoughtful gift often begins with a detail worth keeping.

Five ways to make the next gift easier

Remember their day. Save birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions, then choose how you would like to be reminded. The point is to give yourself room to choose, rather than discover the date while it is already happening. Read about occasion reminders.

Remember their flowers. Save favourites for yourself or someone else. Seasonal alerts are designed to let you know when those flowers come back into season, so “Mum loves anemones” can become a reason to send them. Explore favourite-flower alerts.

Give together. Plan a shared gift for a parent or a colleague who is leaving. Keep suggestions and contributions in one place, with one organiser placing the final order. See how group gifts work.

Let them give you a hint. Wish lists and private requests for their picks help you choose from things they actually want. Read about taking the guesswork out of gifting.

Fill in what is missing. Send a private link asking for a birthday, delivery address or gift preferences. They can answer without creating an account. See the private-request flow.

The useful details, together

Favourite flowers, wish lists and group gifts have a place alongside your saved occasions.

  3. One place to plan a group gift
12-second walkthrough

Start with someone you already have in mind

You do not need to organise everyone you know in one sitting. Start with the person whose next gift has been sitting in the back of your mind. Save the date you know. Add the flowers they like. If a detail is missing, ask for it through a private link you share yourself.

Open Reminders and add that person. The next time you want to send something, you will have somewhere useful to begin.
