Broome is Australian native: banksia, paper daisy and eucalyptus, sculptural and rustic, with that clean eucalypt scent the moment the box opens. Beside it, Applewood's Økar, an Adelaide Hills aperitivo built on a Vermentino wine base with native plum, rhubarb and strawberry gum. Bittersweet, bright, unmistakably local. Nine hand-finished Koko Black pralines sit between the two.

Ice, a long splash of soda, a slice of orange. The flowers do the rest.
